Dairy Hrinova is a private corporation founded in 1993. The dairy started its activities by processing three thousand liters (780 gallons) of milk per day from which butter, milk packaged in PVC bags, curds and smoked steamed cheese Koliba were produced by hand in most of the cases. More and more milk was purchased and the capacity of the dairy was insufficient. Therefore, new production premises were built. The dairy production has recently undergone a complete modernization. Nowadays, dairy Hrinova processes several thousands of liters (hundreds of gallons) of milk per day from which butter and soft and hard cheeses are produced.

History of distilling related to this company starts in 1518, when the "house at the green tree" (Dum U zeleneho stromu) has been given a permission to brew beer and to distil. In the very beginning distillates has been done from spoiled wine and beer, but as the owner of the company became Mr. Michal Stroch, just after the 30 years long war, the distillery started to produce liquors from rye. In 1992 manufacture has been privatized by a company Starorezna Prostejov k.s. (www.starorezna.cz), which continues to manufacture liquors till now.

The company’s history dates back to 1867 when the master distiller, Armin Stark, established in Liptovský Mikuláš the first spirit refinery.
